Garden of Words showcases the writings of Helen Cushing. Much of Helen’s writing has been based around gardens, plants and nature. These writings are a blend of the practical, philosophical and literary.

The site includes inspiring and thoughtful articles that take you into the ecology, beauty and culture of gardens.

You can also take a glimpse into several of Helen’s books.

Beyond Organics, the fruit of more than 25 years involvement and thinking about gardens and nature is Helen’s most important work.

The series of gardening books for children are bright and fun, encouraging kids to explore and connect with nature by growing plants, being creative and taking a closer look at the nature that surrounds them.

The articles have been previously published in Australian magazines. The books are published in Australia and New Zealand by ABC Books.
